Because the mechanical brake switch is faster than the hydraulic switch in turning on the brake lamp when the brake is applied,
The transmission to the following vehicle is quicker and safer, and the brake touch is improved because the hydraulic pressure does not escape as with hydraulic switches.
The unit is made of machined aluminum with a black alumite finish for superior rust resistance,
It is very small and compact by using microswitches.
The switch is made by OMRON, which is less likely to malfunction.
The installation is bolt-on, and most vehicles prorduced in Japan do not require any wiring after installation (some vehicles do),
The stock wiring can be installed directly to the switch.
